Summer is often a season full of activity and movement – from walking, hiking, or biking outdoors to tearing up the dance floor in your high heels at all those weddings. I’m sure your feet are feeling the effects of being on them more than usual the way mine are. And in all honesty, my feet can end up getting a little smelly too in this heat. Here is a natural Re-Energizing Foot Spray DIY to get you back up moving and feeling refreshed.
Re-Energizing Foot Spray
1/4 c distilled water
25 drops tea tree oil
10 drops peppermint essential oil
Combine all ingredients in a spray bottle – tinted is best.
To use, shake and spray onto the soles of the feet.
Allow to air dry or rub it in.
Peppermint essential oil slightly numbing which can somewhat alleviate any aches or pains. The cool, tingly sensation from the menthol is also re-energizing to tired feet. Because tea tree oil is antibacterial and antifungal, it will keep your feet feeling (and smelling) fresh, clean, and healthy no matter what you’ve put them through.
In fact, I’ll let you in on a little secret of mine. I’ve actually been using this spray under my arms as well. Sometimes I will have been out in the sun and gotten sweaty, but I don’t have time for an extra shower. I’ll just spray a few spritzes of this on my arm pits, and it’s seriously amazing! I feel cooled and refreshed, and it completely eliminates any odors.
What activity wears out your feet? How do you recoup?
