Essential7 Review: Patchouli, Calendula, Wart, and Tis the Season

Essential7 sells ethically produced, organic, made in the USA natural products. I wanted to try out a variety of products and use them for a number of weeks so I could really provide an accurate review. Here are the uses and benefits of four of their products alongside my experience and honest opinion regarding them. I tried out the patchouli essential oil, calendula herbal oil, Wart essential oil blend, and Tis the Season essential oil blend.

Patchouli Essential Oil

Patchouli essential oil is considered non-toxic and non-irritant, and has a huge array of healing properties. These include antidepressant, anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, antiseptic, antiviral, astringent, and bactericidal. Patchouli essential oil also treats nausea, gas and digestive issues, reduces fever, calms nerves, and acts as an aphrodisiac, deodorant, and diuretic.

Patchouli can be used in a variety of methods. When used topically (diluted in a carrier oil or added to a beauty product), it can treat acne, athlete’s foot, chapped skin, dandruff, eczema, fungal infections, impetigo, sores, excess oil, open pores, wounds, and wrinkles. It is also an insect repellent. When inhaled, patchouli can treat frigidity and decrease feelings of nervousness and stress.

I used the patchouli essential oil in homemade soap as well as diffused it in my nebulizer. I found it to be calming and help combat my winter blues.

Calendula Herbal Oil

This is made from marigold flowers infused in extra virgin olive oil. Calendula is considered non-toxic and non-irritant. Calendula’s healing properties include anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, astringent, and fungicidal. It also helps form scar tissue, relieves muscle spasms, stops bleeding, and is invigorating and stimulating to the nervous system.

Calendula oil can be used to heal burns, cuts, eczema, inflammations, insect bites, rashes, and wounds.

I used it on a couple bad scrapes I got. I was extremely impressed by the increased speed with which the scrapes healed. Also after healing, the scrapes had much less prominent scars than I usually get. I also used the calendula oil to treat Brad’s burns after his cardioversions.

Wart Essential Oil Blend

This blend contains the essential oils of oregano, Idaho balsam fir, rosewood, and frankincense in a carrier of fractionated coconut oil.

The wart essential oil blend can be used to heal warts by applying 1-2 drops to the affected area several times a day.

I have a couple warts on my feet and my husband has one on his hand. We both used this essential oil blend by putting a drop or two on a q-tip and then applying it directly to our warts twice a day. Our warts began to shrink and became less painful, which was great. However, after a couple weeks, we used up the sample size bottle before any of our warts disappeared completely. Perhaps it would just take more treatment time to have them removed entirely.

Tis the Season Essential Oil Blend

This is a blend containing the essential oils of nutmeg, cinnamon bark, sweet orange, and spruce in a carrier of fractionated coconut oil.

The essential oils in the Tis the Season blend are comforting and warming. Nutmeg and cinnamon are not only associated with holiday baking, but are also stimulating to the brain to fight off fatigue. Sweet orange is another that goes beyond typical winter food. It creates an uplifting feeling during the dreary, cloudy days of winter. Spruce is calming and can add the scent of a Christmas tree to your home if you do not have a live one.

It was so nice to have this blend over the holidays. I diffused 10 drops of it in my nebulizer everyday approaching and throughout Christmas and New Years. It is quite remarkable how scents can invoke certain memories and emotions. I found this blend to be particularly uplifting.

I encourage you to check out Essential7 for a huge selection of essential oils, butters, waxes, oils, and more natural products.
